Our policies regarding privacy correspond to those set out by the site owner (University of Nottingham and may be viewed here. Because this site gathers very limited information from its subscribers and authors, the most relevant privacy matters are summarised on the present page.
(1) Who we are
Our website address is: https://researchingeducation.com. We publish occasional summaries of recent peer-reviewed educational research written by the authors of that research. Subscribers receive occasional emails with digests of our recent publications in the form of internet links. The service is overseen by the School of Education at the University of Nottingham, UK who own this website and its service. Professor Charles Crook is the current manager of that service. When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

(3) Subscribers: How we protect your privacy
Subscription involves submitting your email address to a mailing list. That mailing list is administered by the widely-recognised service ‘MailChimp’. Neither ‘Researching Education’ nor MailChimp will share your personal information with, or sell it to, third parties unless we have your permission or the law requires us to. Subscribers should be aware of the MailChimp privacy policy which is published here and also aware of how MailChimp protects it, which is explained here. After signing up, subscribers will receive occasional emails that provide links to articles published on the Researching Education website or occasional emails that relate to the administration of this service. No other use will be made of a subscriber’s email address.
